Face Masks

As we all know, there are shortages of mask, booties, scrubs, etc for the front line folks, the scores of heroes that are fighting the good fight to care for those who are afflicted with the virus. It doesn't matter how the shortages came about, the time has come to stop pointing fingers and to step up.
There are multitudes of ordinary folks stepping up and making masks for hospitals, staff, and other essential personnel.

But what about the rest of us that need to go out to pick up groceries or medicine or want to protect ourselves if we have to go out? I've decided to make masks until I run out of fabric.
A lot of fabric resources are shut down due to the virus and many have no idea when they will re-open. Most only have what is in their warehouses and have no clue when the supply lines will open back up. This is a Pandemic and as such virtually everyone in the world is affected in some capacity or another. Some fabrics that are available is being shifted to manufactures who are stepping up to make our much needed supplies to try to get them out to the people and hospitals who need them most. Sadly, very little of our fabric is manufactured stateside and thus comes in from other countries such as India, and China. They have been hard hit too, and are trying to get back to a sense of normalcy as soon as it is safe to do so.

I will make quilted masks like this one until I run out of quilted fabric. This is a double sided quilted cotton fabric with polyfil sandwiched  in between. Tie straps are stretchy fabric. They can be washed and re-used!  If you would like to order one/some of these masks they are $8 each plus shipping.
